Hansi Flick has discovered the real reason for Raphael’s reaction during his replacement in Barcelona’s 3-0 victory over Aston Willlas.

The Brazilian attacker seemed unhappy when he left the field, but the German coach explained that his reaction had nothing to do with the replacement.

Raphael was emotionally affected by the tragic death of football player Jesús de Miguel in Tenerife.

Everyone thinks I was mad at him and that’s why I decided to replace him, but it wasn’t. It’s not always easy to put everything aside and move on with our plan. We are people and things like that touch us, Flick said.

Barcelona’s coach expressed condolences to the family, club and fans of the late footballer.

Flick also spoke of the team’s protective appearance, naming it extraordinary. He particularly praised the way Barcelona remained compact and exerted pressure on his opponent to force him to err.
