Bluetooth technology is expected to become noticeably faster, thanks to a new standard that will enable the transfer of data at almost four times larger than currently.
The Bluetooth SIG organisation, responsible for the development of the Bluetooth Standard, has approved new technology called High Data Throughput ( HTT, which is involved as alternative opportunities in the Bluetooth Core specification 7.0.

With this upgrade, the maximum speed of data transfer to Bluetooth LE devices will increase from 2 to 7.5 megabites per second.
One of the main benefits is expected to be on audio equipment. According to Bluetooth SIG, high quality audio wireless transmission, including free quality audio (losless), is expected to be standardized during 2017.
The first equipment to support the HPT is expected to emerge in early 2027, while their presentation may be made at the CES fair, which is held in January.
New technology uses a more advanced mode of signal transmission and supports several speed levels, from 2 to 7.5 megabites per second. When the signal weakens, equipment can automatically reduce the speed of maintaining the relationship.
Except the haste. HDZ is also expected to bring benefits to energy consumption. The fastest data transfer allows equipment to spend more time in a state of low battery consumption.
In the first demonstrations, the transfer of a file of several megawatts lasted about four seconds, compared to the 16 seconds needed with current technology.
The new standard is expected to be useful not only for earphones and speakers but also for smart watches, fitne bracelets, extensive reality equipment, and artificial intelligence systems.
To take advantage of the maximum speed, however, both communication devices must support HDT technology. If only one has this feature, the connection will function according to the existing capacity of Bluetooth LE.
