Russia has undertaken a wave of attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure on Tuesday, leaving much of the country without electricity. The attacks were carried out by dozens of rockets and hundreds of fears, just one week before the resumption of peace talks brokered by the United States.
Ukrainian President Voldymyr Zelensky said at least 33 people were killed Monday, after Russia bombed a school twice in the village of Komyshuwakha, in the Zaporizhzia region, which was used for the distribution of humanitarian aid.

According to him, about 50 people are believed to still be in ruins, Reuters writes, broadcast Dukagini.
On the other hand, Russian officials claimed Ukraine had caused fire at night at a large oil refinery in the town of Yaroslavli.
The attacks occurred less than two days after the end of a brief humanitarian ceasefire in the town of Olesky, under Russian control, which was achieved with the help of the first US lady, Melanie Trump.
Recent developments have raised questions about the possibility of progress in negotiations the US is planning to hold in Abu Dhabi on November 10th and 11th.
Moscow declared its forces were targeting Ukrainian military units in areas around Komyshuwakhas and two other settlements in the Zaporizha region. According to the Russian statement, up to 25 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed while 15 vehicles and an electronic war station have been destroyed.
During a joint media conference in Berlin with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Zelensky said the attack proves that Moscow is focused on killing people instead of exploiting the humanitarian ceasefire in Olesky to build trust.
Germany has become Ukraine’s biggest supporter in the fight against the Russian occupation since Donald Trump’s return to the American presidency and the withdrawal of US financial support.
Chancellor Merz named the resumption of talks as the right step towards ending fighting, stressing that Europe should also be part of the process.
But I would also say it is important that Russia finally engage in serious negotiations for a ceasefire and a later peace agreement. So far, I’ve seen no sign of this, said Merz.
Meanwhile, the European Commission announced that on Wednesday it will organise a meeting for Ukraine, attended by US representatives, NATO, European allies and Ukraine itself.
According to Zelensky, a plan for Ukraine’s recovery and economic development will be discussed at this meeting, as well as security guarantees for the country. NATO has announced that consultations will continue Thursday as well.
