The Portuguese coach, on the eve of the match that Real Madrid will take on the trip to Athens’ AEK, has praised the madrile team’s great potential, but has stressed that it has still won nothing.

How long will it take for a perfect Real Madrid? Three seasons. This team has great potential, no doubt. But they haven’t earned anything yet. We’ll see what’s next, Morainho has declared.

Portuguese has also spoken of Federico Valverde, naming him a crucial player for the team. According to him, the captain’s responsibility makes the Uruguayn midfielder ready to play in any position the team needs.

Mourinho has acknowledged that he is satisfied with Valverde’s performance on the defence wing, but has indicated that he is expected to return to the midfield, as Real Madrid does not have many options in this department.

The team was built to play with the Walderde in the middle. We don’t have many midfielders, and for that reason, he will probably play again in this position, the Portuguese coach said.

He has also confirmed that Winnitius Junior will be the title in the match against AEK, praising the Brazilian as the most suitable player for the left-hand flank of the attack.

Mourinho has also mentioned the challenges facing Real Madrid in Athens, remembering that the Spanish team has won only once in eight previous visits to this city.

Finally, the Portuguese coach has expressed regret over the tragic news about Jesus de Miguel, sending his condolences to his family and friends. He said it was a very serious event that affected all involved in football.
