The owner of the weapons depot, Tactical ‘% in Gjakova, Valon Curri, has been arrested by Kosovo Police, after allegedly insinuating the theft of over 100 short arms, worth 100m euros.

The case was reported on October 30th, when it was claimed that more than 100 weapons had disappeared from the warehouse on Fehmi Aganiʹ Street in Gjakova. In the initial report, there was also a suspicion of how to access the object, since there were no signs of forced breach, writes Insander.

But police investigations have led to another suspicion of the case.

According to the Police’s announcement, investigators from the Directorate for Investigation of Organised Crime and Rand Crimes, in co-ordination with the Constitutional Prosecutor in Gjakova, have alleged that the owner’s report on the theft was inskene.

Police suspect that the weapons in this licensed range were misused and sold to third persons by the owner himself.

The findings have resulted in the rise of reasonable suspicion that reporting the owner of the station-polygon was an insinuation of theft and that weapons in this licensed range have been misused, respectively, were sold to third parties by the owner of the polygony itself, the police report said.

Under the investigation, three locations in the Gjakova region were checked on November 3rd, with the aim of providing evidence of criminal acts import, export, supply, transport, production, mediation, or unauthorised sale of weapons or explosive matter, and false statement.

During this operation, Valon Curri has been arrested, while police have announced that evidence will be seized in criminal procedure.

At the prosecutor’s decision, Curri was sent to the holding for 48 hours. /Insander.org/
