The Argentinian midfielder unblocked the results in the first half, when he used a penalty blow to send the ball to the net with a head kick near the first pole.

Iraola stressed that this goal came at a very important moment of the meeting, as both teams had created cases and the game was quite balanced.

This was a crucial game moment. We had been entitled to score from these shots of collateral punishment even earlier in the season. Alexis Mac Allister is very good at reaching for the first column. Golly came at exactly a moment when both teams were creating cases and the match was open, Irala has declared.

He added that completing the pre-0 first part was very important for his team.

Riding off with a go-ahead was something extremely important, the coach concluded.

Liverpool managed to exploit this advantage in the second half, marking two more goals to secure the 3-1 victory on the trip to Crystal Palace.
