The Republican Guard Union wants pay increases and calls on the responsible structures to take concrete steps to improve their financial treatment.
Through a public reaction, they have reminded the Finance Sector and the institutions responsible to present urgently to the Ministry of Finance the detailed programme for wage growth.
Following earlier demand for dialogue on this issue, the Union stresses that the situation cannot be postponed further.
According to the response, since 2001, the Republika Guard institution has not been assessed financially at the right level. They remember that there have historically been a monthly margin in terms of employees of other security institutions, but that gap has already disappeared.
In their response, they also list the reasons why they consider salary increases necessary. They point out that Garda’s service is characterized by constant pressure, maximum readiness, and particular professional difficulties.
Another important element, they say, is the responsibility for the security of high state, Albanian and foreign personalities where there can be no room for mistakes.
