Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk addressed citizens with a televised speech, following the escalation of the institutional conflict for the Constitutional Court, claiming that rule of law would triumph over violence.
Tensions rose Friday, when President Carol Nawrocki attempted to break into the Constitutional Court building, amid disagreements over the appointment of new judges.

Police surrounded the building, while the incident was broadcast live on television.
Tusk accused the opposition party Law and Justice ( PiS and the president to block reforms in justice.
He defended the legality of the appointment of new judges who have taken the oath but are not yet allowed to exercise office.
A democratic state must be strong and capable of establishing justice, the prime minister said.
Meanwhile, the opposition charges the government with coup efforts, while Tusk warned that pro-Russian groups could exploit political divisions in the country.
In conclusion, he pledged that the government would ensure the security and conditions needed for the functioning of the Constitutional Court, but did not present a concrete agreement on resolving the crisis. /Telegraphy/
