British actor Caumil Turner has launched evidence in front of cameras for the role of James Bond, as the selection of Daniel Craig’s successor appears to be approaching the final phase.
According to the Daily Mail, the 36-year-old was presented Friday at the Bray studios in Bershire, where she will be assessed by project leaders. Turner, known by Fantastic Beasts and Emma movies, has long been named as one of the main candidates for the role of agent 007.
The actors Jack Lowden, Josh O’Connor and Jacob Elor are also in the race, while in the final phase, three to five candidates are reported to remain.
Professor Amy Pascal had declared in August that the selection could be completed by the end of the year, paving the way for film preparation during 2017.
James Bond’s next film will be directed by Denis Villeneve, known for the Dune Saga. So far, however, there is no official confirmation of who will assume the role of the famous agent.
