Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted again regarding the debates over the tourist project in Zvërnec, bringing to attention a well-known tourist investment in Qatar.
In a post on social media, Rama emphasizes that the luxury island managed by the Anantara brand was developed by the Alkhayatt brothers, co-owners of the Power International Holding conglomerate, who are also involved as investors in the Zvërnec project.
The head of government has rejected criticism of the investment and has praised its potential for the development of tourism in Albania.
“This island is in Qatar and is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the Middle East, managed by the prestigious Anantara brand.
Do you know who developed it?
The two Alkhayatt brothers, precisely the co-owners of the Power Holding conglomerate, the buyers of private land and the co-investors of the Zvërnec project!
Now who would have thought that a company like Power Holding would come to Albania to ruin its reputation with the nonsense being said about the project, we have nothing to do with it. But the stupidity that has left this country behind the world for 100 years will not be able to hold European and Tourist Albania hostage.
“*Power International Holding is a Qatari conglomerate with more than 400 companies, organized in six main sectors of the economy, with a portfolio estimated at approximately $40 billion. It has more than 65,000 employees and operates in 25 countries around the world,” Rama writes.
