Japan’s Sony Company has introduced the new collection of transparent Controlors Doual Sense for the PlayStation 5 console, restoring a design style that was particularly popular in the late 1990s and early 2000.
The New Collection, Called Waiting Collection, will be available in three colors: orange, green and gray.

The controllers have a bright transparent surface, including the back, enabling users to see some of the interior components of the device. According to the company, the goal is to restore the ikeonic view of transparent equipment, but to a modern version that fits the design of PS5.
In addition to controllers, the collection includes covers for the PS5 console in the same three colors. However, these covers are not fully transparent and do not enable the view of the console’s internal components.
Preliminary orders are expected to open on November 10, 2026, while the launching of products is scheduled for February 4th, 2027. Dates and availability may vary according to the state and the region.
In the U.S. market, auditors Doual Sense will cost $84,99, and the lids for PS5 will be sold for $74.99.
Sony has a long history of transparent design, which was present since the first PlayStation era. With the new collection, the company aims to restore this retro aesthetic to the current generation of consoles.
