Montenegrin journalist Srdjan Kusovac has reacted to Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajic, as he has declared for the second time that Montenegro is the smallest state in the Balkans.

Through a reaction to the social network X, Kusovac said this declaration cannot be considered a pencil, as it has been repeated twice, meaning that Kosovo is not a state.

You can expect to think what you want, but as Montenegro’s official you are obliged to treat the Republic of Kosovo as a state, Kusovac wrote, addressing Prime Minister Spajic directly.

Montenegro has recognised Kosovo’s independence on October 9th 2008 and has established diplomatic relations with Pristina.

Kusovac’s statement calls attention to the importance of the official positions of representatives of Montenegrin institutions towards Kosovo status, which official Podgorica recognises as an independent state.

Otherwise, Montenegro has an area of about 13,812km2, and Kosovo has an area of about 10,905 km2. /Telegraphy/
