Nine people — seven men and two women — have been arrested under suspicion of involvement in criminal activities through call centres in Pristina and Obilic.

Among those arrested, according to the IndexOnline report, is singer Ariana Plakicici, also known to the public as the former resident of the second edition of the Big Brother V IP Albania.

According to the Police report, six of the suspects are Kosovo citizens, while three others are German citizens.

The suspects, according to authorities, allegedly acted in co-operation with each other, using call centres to contact and deceive foreign citizens. During the investigation, data belonging to foreign persons has been found in their computer devices.

During the search of four locations, police have located and confiscated 39 computers, five mobile phones, 12 external memory disks ( HDZ), a car, a six-round rifle, as well as 850 euros and 100 Swiss francs.

In connection with the case, the Constitutional Prosecutor at Ferizaj has asked the Pristina Foundation Court to appoint the detention measure for nine suspects who are being investigated for fraud through call centres.

Investigations into the case are under way, while allegations raised against arrested persons must be confirmed through judicial procedures. /Telegraphy/
