Former Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq addressed his party colleagues at the headquarters of the Serbian Progressive Party ( SNS, where this party was celebrating its traditional holiday, St. Friday.

He said the party was marking the holiday under difficult circumstances, which he described as revolutionary terror, claiming that few political parties in modern Europe and the world face similar situations.

We must be willing, stable and persistent, to be different from those who lied, saying we would withdraw, run away and hide, Vuciqi said.

He added that political opponents would be persecuted because of the increase in wages and pensions, as well as because of infrastructure projects that, according to him, they will not be able to repeat.

They will persecute us because they will not be able to build as many hospitals, roads and railways as we have built, he said, B92.

Vuciqi also spoke of the incident on Informer television, labeling it a terrible event, aimed at humiliating the director of this television, Dragan J. Vucheviq.

He called on state institutions to react to attacks and threats, warning that, if they fail to act, his party could be forced to organise itself.

And I ask you, brothers and sisters, did you really think I was scared? Did you think I wouldn’t be with you? I’ll be with each and every one of you, said Vuchqi.

He added that he was willing to face any sacrifice but stressed that no one would manage to break his soul.

Vuciqi also spoke of Serbia’s economic situation, saying citizens should not be concerned over the next year, as the state has enough reserves for paying pensions and other obligations.

In the end, he warned that the coming months will be difficult and that the political situation in the country may remain tense. /Telegraphy/
