A powerful storm has hit parts of Germany, causing material damage, fell trees, and disruptions of railway traffic. As a result of bad weather, some people have been hurt, while two are in serious condition.

The most serious events are recorded in the western and southwest part of the country, where strong winds have collapsed trees, branches, and various structures. Firefighters and police teams are committed to removing obstacles and coping with the storm’s aftermath.

In the town of Nastätten, west of Frankfurt, two people were badly injured Friday afternoon, as powerful winds turned down a construction near a market. One of them was transported by helicopter to the hospital and, according to police, is in critical condition.

Meanwhile, in Seligenstad, southeast of Frankfurt, a tree branch fell on a cyclist who was pulled from below by rescue teams. A footman in the city of Lebach suffered minor injuries after being hit by a advertising sign.

The storm also caused problems in railway transport. In Karlsruhe, sparks were reported after an object hit airlines at the main train station. While near the town of Aachen, a 280 passenger train on board had to withdraw from an oil locomotive due to damage to electricity lines.

The fallen trees also blocked rails in several areas, including near Ness and in Stutgart, making the flow of trains difficult.

According to the German Meteorological Service, the storm is expected to shift towards Denmark and the Baltic Sea. However, predictions warn of another storm at night, which could bring heavy rainfall in some parts of the country.

Authorities and emergency teams are continuing to avoid the consequences of bad weather, while citizens are required to be cautious in areas affected by strong winds. /Telegraphy/
