Rama: Violent protests aim at destabilise Albania

Albania’s prime minister, Edi Rama, has declared that following violent acts during the protests stands a agenda for destabilising the country and diverting its path to the future.

Rama made those statements during a joint conference with Interior Minister Ervin Demo.

He said a group of people aimed at destabilizing the country is involved in the protests.

A significant list, representative of a rioting component that has integrated into this varied mass of people with a very clear purpose: the destabilisation of the country and the deviation of our path by turning us back into the past, Rama said.

He claimed that behind persons involved in violence lies organised crime and foreign influence.

Of course, organized crime and foreign hands are behind those people. But what really impressed me was again the reaction of corrupt screens to a list that should have led everyone to reflect on non-disclosure by violence, Rama said.

The Albanian prime minister stressed that the government is attentive to problems and reasons that push citizens to protest, but drew a contrast between their demands and the use of violence.

The stone language, the tongue of the stake, the tongue of the fire, the tongue of hatred, the language of insults and threats… cannot win citizenship status if we want a safe tomorrow for this country and our children, Rama said. / Source: RT S
