Kyle Jenner appeared in Victoria’s Secret fashion studio in Los Angeles wearing the famous Fantasy bras, but her appearance caused a wave of criticism on social networks.

The fashion festival took place on Sunday in Sony Studios in Culver City, California, and the debut of Kyle Jenner was the biggest surprise of the night. The 29-year-old star of reality show walked into the desert with a $50m recital decorated with gems. Her partner Timothy Chalamet and her mother, Chris Jenner, followed her from the front row.

It was the fact that the most prestigious part of the sculpture went to someone who had never walked the course of Victoria’s Secret, which made the brand’s followers more angry.

Many see her choice as an insult to professionals who have spent years building their career. One commentator described it as total bullshit and a slap in the face for real models that worked hard, while another called the worst possible selection and respect for models in the show.

Some seers believe that honor should have gone to one of the legendary angels. I should have gone to one of the original girls, said a comment, while others were more specific, referring to Barbara Palvin and Rosie Huntington-Whitley. Adriana Lima and Anok Yai were also cited as best elections in social media.

Her attention was also drawn to the fact that Kyle walked the track, while her sister Kendall, who is a professional model, was not on the show. Kendall Jenner walked for Victoria’s Secrets in 2015, 2016, and 2018, but he did not return when the show was renovated in 2024. She wasn’t on the list of confirmed models this year, and neither she nor the brand explained why. The night before the show, she attended the Los Angeles Academy Museum Gala with her partner, actor Jacob Elord.

Some also referred to earlier brand rules, recalling that in the past, models that had performed plastic surgery could not work for Victoria Secretê while asking what has already changed.

Victoria’s Secret stuck to her decision. The creative director, Adam Selman, said in an interview for Vogue that Kylie Jenner exceeds fashion, culture and television and has developed her culture, which matches the idea of the show as a big entertainment show.
