Kosovo’s incumbent Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has called on the Albanians of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja to participate in the elections for the Albanian National Council tomorrow, November 8th.
Through a post, Kurti has made it known that 37 thousand and 759 Albanians registered on the Special Election List have the right to vote, while for 29 seats in this institution compete four lists with a total of 107 candidates.

He has stressed that the Albanian National Council returns to the 29-member composition, after more than a decade with only 15 members, as a result of the 2022 population census.
Kurti has highlighted the importance of this institution in representing and protecting the collective rights of Albanians, especially in the fields of education, culture, information and official use of the Albanian language.
In his response, he has also cited the challenges Albanians face in the Presevo Valley, including the failure to address, discriminate and under-an institutional representation.
The head of the government in office has reaffirmed that Kosovo will continue supporting the Albanians of these three municipalities, through textbooks, scholarships for students and students, as well as support of culture and representative institutions.
In the end, Kurti has called on citizens to stand in the elections and exercise their democratic right to vote freely and according to personal beliefs.
