Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has indicated that the draft budget for 2027 envisions the growth of the wage coficiator from 110 to 120 euros, starting next July 1st.
During the Government meeting, Kurti has announced that for 2027 the 13th salary for public sector employees is expected to be given during the first part of the year.
According to him, in the first half of the year, the 13th pay will be realised, while from July the rise of the wage cofficiency will take effect.
Kurti has announced that the wage budget will reach 1 billion and 85m euros, while some 85 thousand employees have been estimated for the public sector.
He has declared that this amount translates into an average gross annual salary of over 12,000 euros, or over a thousand gross euros a month.
The prime minister has stressed that rising salaries will continue in the coming years.
Referring to the 2027 Bill budget, Kurti has announced that it is planned for 4.27 billion euros, about 200m euros more than 2026’s revised budget.
Of that amount, according to him, 908m euros will be earmarked for direct financing of Kosovo municipalities.
Kurti has also talked about the country’s economic performance, suggesting that economic growth in the first quarter of this year was 5.4 percent, and in the second quarter 4.1 percent.
