Democratic League of Kosovo MP ( The LDK), Hykmete Bajrami, has reacted following the adoption of the Project budget for 2027, criticising the way the government represents economic and budgetary growth.
Through a post, Bajrami has said that the growth of the budget and the regional Bruto Product in nominal terms does not reflect the real economic situation of citizens.

It has stressed that from 2021 to today prices have increased by about 34 percent, adding that citizens today can receive more euros but buy less than five years ago.
The growth of the budget and the local Bruto Product in nominal terms do not tell economic reality. Today, we can get more money, but we buy far less than in 2021. The increase in figures on paper does not necessarily mean increased citizens’ welfare, Bajrami wrote.
The LDK MP has linked the lack of well-being to the departure of citizens from Kosovo, adding that around 250 thousand people have left the country since 2021.
The campaign, as if it were well-being, had not left the country with about 250 thousand citizens since 2021, it wrote.
Bajram’s reaction comes after the Kosovo government adopted the Project budget for 2027, worth 4.27 billion euros. Finance Minister Iron Murati said during the presentation the economy is expected to grow by 4.2 percent in 2027, while budget revenues for the first time are expected to exceed 4 billion euros.
