The Constitutional Court in Gjilan has assigned a month’s detention to suspects B.D., who are suspected of serious murder and unauthorized possession of weapons.

According to the Court’s announcement, the Constitutional Prosecutor’s request in Gjilan was approved Monday, November 2nd.

In demand for the detention assignment, the prosecution has claimed the event took place on November 1st 2026, at the suspect’s home in the village of Demajni in Gjilan.

According to allegations presented in the request, B.D., following a physical conflict with his son, A.D., has deprived him of life. Meanwhile, his baby daughter, D.D., had also been found lifeless and with signs of violence on her father’s bed.

The Foundation Court in Gjilan has approved Gjilan’s Constitutional Prosecutor’s request, assigning the 1 (one) month detention measure to indicted B. D. Who is suspected of committing criminal offenses to serious murder and possession of the weapon. In the prosecution’s request for appointment of the detention measure, it has claimed the defendant B. D. On November 1, 2026, between the time period after 10:27 and the morning hours, at his home in the village of Demaj, the municipality of Gjilan, after a physical conflict with his son is cut off from life. D., and first the child D. D., found lifeless and violent in her father’s bed, now deceased A. D., where blood stains have been observed, all caused by suspicion by her father now deceased A., so that the actions of the same have been deprived of the lives of two members of their family.

On these actions, defendant B. D. There are allegedly committed criminal acts committed grave murder and possession, control or unauthorized possession of weapons, actions sanctioned with the Penal Code of the Republic of Kosovo ( KPRK). The preliminary procedure judge has estimated that legal reasons for the detention of the defendants stand up, that if left at large, the defendant, with the aim of co-ordinating and minimising the consequences for the actions taken, could affect other witnesses. The sides have the right to appeal to this decision at the Kosovo Court of Appeals, the report said.
