According to a post published by the Italian Forum, it is one of the university’s most demanding courses, where students should read a full book every week without using smartphones, computers, or artificial intelligence tools.

The program aims to promote the ability to think critically and to form personal judgments, without relying on available technology or solutions.

The list of readings includes authors and philosophers of various periods, from Plato to English writer Jane Austen, inviting students to face their texts and ideas directly.

The course does not offer short ways to ensure good grades, but requires continued commitment, deepening reading and discussion.

Interest in enrolling in this programme has increased as it comes to a moment when universities worldwide are facing the challenge of integrating artificial intelligence into education and asking how to maintain the students’ ability to think independently.
