The alleged case of violation of the Pristina chairman’s banking privacy, Progress Rama, gets a new dimension. Albion Ferati, former employee of Raiffeisen Bank, whose name has been linked to allegations of unauthorized access to Rama’s bank accounts and transactions, currently holds a leading position in another financial institution in Kosovo. The signal paper learns that Ferati is now Head of Accounting at TEB Bank.
This information comes at a time when the Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina has authorised the Kosovo Police to take preliminary action to clarify allegations concerning the unauthorized access and distribution of the capital’s president’s banking data.

According to confirmed information for the Signal Journal, Albion Ferati currently exercises the Head of Accounting post at TEB Bank, a position linked to responsibility in the area of accounting and financial reporting.
This development takes on particular importance because Ferat’s name has been mentioned publicly in connection with a case that has raised questions about respect for banking privacy and protection of personal customer data.
What is known about the case in Raiffeisen Bank?
The case was made public after the Pristina municipality announced that Chairman for Progress Rama had filed complaints regarding the alleged unauthorised approach to his bank account.
According to Komuna, a Raiffeisen Bank employee had had access without authorization to Rama’s data and had distributed information on his financial situation and transactions.
The municipality also disclosed that the bank had informed Rama of the responsible employees’ identification and dismissal.
Raiffeisen Bank has confirmed that it has addressed the complaint, carried out internal procedures and announced competent authorities, but has not made public the complete results of internal review, nor the identity of employees.
Meanwhile, Albion Ferati’s name has been reported by other media, referring to police sources.
Current position at TEB Bank raises new questions
The new information brought by the newspaper Signal relates to Ferati’s current professional engagement.
Despite public doubts about the case in Raiffeisen Bank, Ferati currently holds the Head of Accounting position at TEB Bank.
This situation raises questions of public interest in professional verification procedures, integrity assessment and privacy standards that apply to persons engaged in positions of responsibility within banking institutions.
However, the existence of an investigation or suspicion alone does not amount to evidence of criminal responsibility, nor does it automatically imply incompatibility to exercise a professional function.
So far, there is no confirmed information that TEB Bank has listed any violations by Ferati during the exercise of his office in this institution.
The prosecution authorized preliminary action.
The Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina has confirmed that the case has been accepted for treatment and that police have been authorised to take the necessary preliminary actions.
Investigations are expected to clarify whether there have been unauthorized access and distribution of bank data, which persons have been involved and if there are elements of criminal responsibility.
The case, beyond the involvement of a public official, asks an important question for each bank client: how protected are financial data, and what mechanisms ensure that access to it is made only for legal purposes and authorized persons?
The signal newspaper will continue to forward developments on the issue.
Albion Ferati enjoys the presumption of innocence, while any eventual criminal responsibility remains to be determined by competent organs.
