New information has come to light regarding the possible movements of Albert Sylajt, suspects in the murder of Arlinda Zekaj, a crime that shocked public opinion and sparked numerous reactions to women’s security in Kosovo.
Signal Journal sources suggest that Sylaj was reported to be seen last night, on October 26, 2026, in Pristina, while tonight, on October 27th, new information has emerged that he has been located in the Beci area.

According to information from the signal, during yesterday’s evening, around 19:20 p.m., a citizen had announced that he had seen a person who identified him as the suspect in the grave murder in Pec.
At the same time, doubts had been raised that Sylaj was trying to provide help from others to flee to Serbia and avoid arrest.
Meanwhile, information provided tonight tells of a new development in the investigation into the suspect who reportedly was located in the Beci area.
The signal paper also contains the identities of those mentioned in this information, as well as other details of alleged movements and contacts, but has decided not to publish them to violate the actions of authorities.
There is still no official confirmation whether the reported location has resulted in direct contact with the suspect or his arrest.
We remember Arlinda Zekiaj was killed on October 25th, while Albert Sylaj has been identified as the suspect of the crime.
The case has also raised serious concerns about the way institutions had addressed the victim’s earlier convictions and its demands for protection.
The signal paper will continue to convey developments concerning the investigation for the suspect.
Note: The people mentioned in this news are considered innocent until their guilt is confirmed by court’s firm form.
