DKosovo’s slogan has discovered about 10 tonnes of undeclared goods during the search of a truck at the entrance of the Border Cross in Vllmica.

According to Dogan’s announcement, the truck, which according to the documentation had completed customs procedures through the pre-advancing declaration, was selected for additional control based on risk management parameters.

During the search with scanners and weight measurements, customs officials have calculated differences between declared and consistent weights, with a range of about 10 tonnes of undeclared goods.

The value of these goods, without including import duties, is estimated to be around $15,000, Dogan announced.

Customs has indicated that the case is continuing with relevant administrative procedures, in line with Code No. 08/L-247 for Customs and Achciza.

The institution has stressed that it remains committed to preventing smuggling, fighting illegal trade and protecting the financial interests of the Republic of Kosovo.
