Barcelona Reaches Agreement with Raphael, Brazilian expected to sign new contract

Barcelona has reached agreement on the continuation of the contract with Raphael, which is expected to formalise the new agreement this Thursday, November 5th, connecting to the Catalonas club by June 30th, 2030.

The agreement between the two sides has been reached for weeks and has already remained only the official signing ceremony. According to the Spanish sports medium, everything took the right course after a meeting between sports director Deco and Brazilian footballer.

Raphael’s current contract with Barcelona is valid until 2028, after he had signed his previous continuation in May 2025.

With the new deal, 29-year-old will add two more seasons to his contract, guaranteeing his stay at properlyCamp Nouʹ by 2030.

The delay in formalising the deal has not resulted from any financial or sports dispute, but only because of difficulties in adjusting club and football agendas.

Deco himself had confirmed during the Assembly of Delegates that the renovation was on track, while the Catalunas club has already found the right moment to officially finalise the deal.

Raphael comes to this renovation after an extraordinary form. Brazil achieved two goals in the 3-0 win over Aston Willlas in the Champions League, bringing to 19 the number of goals scored this season in all races.

In all, it has achieved 94 goals in 190 performances with Barcelona’s fans, equalising the figures of legend Ronaldinho and Jose Mari Bakero. Only in La League has it scored 15 goals this season, while four others have made it into the Champions League.

Besides contributing to the offensive, Raphael has also turned into one of the leaders of Hansi Flickut’s team, keeping the captain’s role and being one of the main players in the German coach’s pressure system.

The decision to continue co-operation comes even after the will publicly expressed by the footballer himself in September, when he had made it clear that he intended to stay in Barcelona and extend his contract.

If there is no unexpected change, Raphael is expected to sign the new contract this Thursday, in the presence of President Joan Laporta and sports director Deco, thus securing his future at the Catalonas club by 2030. /Telegraphy/
