BThe European association has launched dialogue with the Government of Kosovo over amendments to Specialised Chambers, known as the Special Court in The Hague.
EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos has made this known during the presentation of the Progress Report on Kosovo and nine other countries aimed at membership in the European Union.

It has warned that amendments to the Specialised Chambers could jeopardise Kosovo’s progress on the road to European integration.
Meanwhile, Valon Murtezaj, legalist at prestigious school I ESEG in Paris has assessed this European commissioner statement as surprising.
The question of amendments to the Special Court has returned to the attention after Kosovo’s Assembly adopted on 6 October the legal amendments, which later turned to review and are currently back in legislative procedures.
In this situation, an important role is expected to include the Working Group founded by the Government for the drafting and co-ordination of the State Strategy, which relates to the procedure to appeal the first degree act towards former KLA leaders Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi.
The leader of this group, Foreign Affairs Minister Glauk Konjufca, has announced that a several-hour meeting will be held on Saturday, during which the case will be worked.
Konjufca has indicated that the group’s engagement will last throughout the day.
