Russian President Vladimir Putin has confirmed that the next round of trilateral talks between Russia, the US and Ukraine for the ongoing war is expected to begin next Tuesday in Abu Dhabi.

During a meeting with the permanent members of Russia’s Security Council, Putin has said he has invited representatives of the Russian delegation, who are expected to travel to Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates, for the talks.

Vladimir Medinsky, Igor Costyukov, Yuri Usshakov, Mikhail Galuzin and Sergei Ryabkov attended the Security Council meeting, Tass reported.

Since negotiations are expected to take place Tuesday, I invited colleagues who will participate in these talks, Putin said.

US special envoy Steve Whitoff had earlier said that the parties intended to discuss security guarantees, reduce tensions, humanitarian issues and further steps towards a peaceful solution. / AA/
