The Anthropic company has launched a new function for its chatbot Claude, called personal finances, which enables users directly to connect bank accounts and credit cards with artificial intelligence to transmit and analyse their expenses in detail.

Through integration with the Plain platform, Claude is positioning as an advanced financial assistant, thus joining OpenAI’s ChatGPT, which a similar opportunity had presented in May of this year.

At the end of the month, users may ask the chatbot where they spent their money. Artificial intelligence will collect data from all related accounts and share expenses in categories, such as food, bills and municipal services.

Besides the budget mirror, Claude could identify potential problems, such as double money withdrawals, secret bank fees, or gradual increase in monthly subscription prices. It can also explain in plain language economic terms that users do not understand.

Anthropic points out that this function only works in reading mode. This means artificial intelligence cannot transfer, spend or invest money independently.

Meanwhile, the interface does not contain ads or recommendations for banking products.

In view of the security concerns of sensitive data, the company explains that chatbot is allowed access only to a limited set of information. These include the bank’s name, account type, the last four card figures, available balance and transaction history for the past two years.

The company also guarantees that private talks and financial questions will not be used for further training of its artificial intelligence models.

The new function will be available this week, in the testing phase, for users in the United States who have payment subscriptions Pro, Max or Ultra. /Telegraphy/
