Vetevendosje Movement MP Adnan Rrustemi has said that with the launch of the task of the working of the state-run group for drafting an appeal phase in The Hague Specialised Chambers, led by Deputy Prime Minister Glauk Konjufca, a state-organised response is being built to a judicial process that, as he said, has produced serious political, judicial and human consequences.
He has recalled that the Vetevendosje Movement had rejected the founding of the Special Court, stressing that the party’s attitude towards it has not changed.

We haven’t changed our position for the Special Court. We have not forgotten the way it was founded, nor its vote in the Parliament, nor warnings ignored, has declared Rrustemi at today’s assembly session.
He has stressed that criminal responsibility should be individual and that no one should be punished for belonging to a liberation army or for the history of an organisation.
) The NLA does not need historical rehabilitation. Her war was a struggle for freedom. Justice has the obligation to judge individuals according to evidence, without turning the story of liberation into the object of collective guilt, he has said.
Rrustemi has also criticised the length of the court processes in The Hague, citing years in detention by former KLA leaders and their families waiting for the completion of the processes.
According to him, launching work for the state appeals strategy marks taking responsibility at the institutional level, while calling for co-operation and co-ordination of all institutions.
We have a complex battle ahead of us. We need co-ordination, cooperation, interaction, today more than ever, is over.
