Today, on October 29th, at 6: 00 p.m., the deadline that Prime Minister Albin Kurti has given to the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Internal Affairs for handing over detailed reports concerning actions and institutional in the case of the murder of Arlinda Zekaj in Pec.
The prime minister has sought to identify possible concessions in any institutional link responsible for handling the 49-year case, which was killed on October 25th in Vitomirica, Pec.

During the Government meeting, held Wednesday, Kurti had warned that reports would be made public.
There are 34 hours left for the drafting and delivery of this report. Tomorrow night, before 6:00, I’m waiting for the reports, and of course I’m going to share it with the public, Kurt said.
The deadline set by the prime minister comes at a time when the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council has already taken measures against the two founding Prosecution officials in Pec.
As the Signal newspaper reported, the KKP has sponsored chief prosecutor Joy Vucetaj and family violence co-ordinator Arlinda Nallbani Gacaferri.
Disciplinary procedures have also been initiated in order to assess possible responsibility regarding actions or inactions during the treatment of Arlinda Zekitaj case.
The decisions were taken following recommendations by Chief State Prosecutor Zejrullah Gashi, based on the report drafted by the State Chief Prosecutor’s Office.
Meanwhile, the Kosovo Police Inspectorate has launched investigative and verifiating actions on the way police officials have handled the victim’s reports.
But while measures have already been taken in the prosecutorial system, it remains to be seen what the two ministries’ reports will state and if other institutional responsibilities are identified.
Arlinda Zekiaj’s murder has sparked strong public reactions, protests and demands for resignations and dismissals of responsible officials.
The signal newspaper had reported on the document of October 22nd, through which Arlinda had requested urgent safeguard clauses from the Founding Prosecutor in Pec, just three days before he was killed.
Already, attention is focused at 6:00, when the deadline for reporting is expected to be completed. It remains to be seen whether the findings will lead to other measures against institutional officials.
