Phillips: After the fall of Orban and Vuciqi, turn will be Mickoski’s

LSDM Chairman Venko Filipce said today that the axis between Victor Orban, Aleksandar Vuciqi and Hristian Mickoski, is nothing new and exists since Mickoski was in opposition. According to him, Mickoski came to power thanks to the assistance of Orban and Vuciqi, through the media and financial support.

For Fokus ‘%, Filipce commented on his party’s stance, which they have repeated several times this week following election developments in Serbia, that following the fall of Orban and Vuciqi, the line will be for the Macedonian prime minister.

The area between them is not new. This has happened since Mickoski was in opposition. Practically, thanks to their help, both the Orban and the Vucciki, through the media and financially, he came to power. And we’re not just talking right now, but that’s what we’ve been warning about for the last two years. Everything we warned about turned out to be true, Filipche said.

He cited some issues that, according to him, the LSDM had warned earlier, starting with the big loan taken through Hungary, which it claims is actually about Chinese money.

We first talked about the nature of the big loan we received through Hungary, which is actually made up of Chinese money. Here, now the new Hungarian prime minister has launched an investigation to find out who and how the large commissions have received from this agreement. Clearly, this case has just begun to dawn, Filipche said.

He also criticised the priority that, according to him, the government has given the Corridor 10 railway in relation to Corridor 8. Filipce claims Mickoski’s power had practically halted the implementation of Corridor 8, though it was European and European priority NATO, meanwhile, lost 40m euros in grants from Europe.

Commenting on the media impact, Filipce claimed that about 40 per cent of portals and a television in the country are owned by persons close to the former Hungarian prime minister. As for Serbia, he raised the issue of the Serbian media’s entry that, according to him, were not registered, but had received licenses to operate in northern Macedonia.

Is there more evidence than the fact that unregistered Serbian media entered our country, which received licenses for work? This is such a violation, which this power is forced to do because of the large concessions it has on these two persons, Filipce claimed.

The LSDM leader also spoke of the reasons that, according to him, led to the party’s poor election outcome, which had remained seven years in power and had come to rule with great expectations from citizens.

He said the party has done an analysis of the results, which shows that citizens’ expectations have only partially been met. The main responsibility for the election loss, Filipce attributed to the leaders of the platform BAR12.0550, which he singled out as the main culprits for the wrong policies and decisions of the past period.

We won the elections in 2020, and in 2021 we lost them by a minimal margin. Then, a small group of people came to the party, which practically occupied it and today are isolated on a so-called platform. This group allowed disastrous policies and decisions to take place.

This group is responsible for changes in the Penal Code for the French proposal, which we are suffering now, as well as the increasing wages of officials. This was something that was absolutely not to happen in 2023 and 2024, Filipche noted.

In the end, he acknowledged that promises to citizens have not been fulfilled, adding that this should serve as a lesson for the new leadership of the Social Democrat Party.
