From this square has been warned marching towards the Ministry of Justice, Prosecutorial Council, Judiciary Council, Police and the Government of Kosovo.

The main message of the protest is: Kill women treated as national emergency.

Organisers have also warned a 24-hour ultimatum of responsible institutions.

Government and Prosecutor’s Downloads Required

In social networks, following the 49-year-old assassination, requirements have been stepped up for the resignation of Justice Minister Donika Grovalla, and Interior Affairs Minister Jelal Svecla.

Criticals against Gervailla have intensified, especially after her statement that the victim had not turned to the Government for protection.

In addition to demands for resignation in Government, numerous citizens have also sought responsibility within the prosecutorial system.

Among the officials against whom the criticism has been directed are mentioned prosecutor Suada Hamza and Peja chief prosecutor Joy Vucetaj.

The demands for their dismissal are related to claims that institutions had not responded properly to warnings of the danger posed to Arlinda.

However, the official’s individual eventual responsibility remains an issue requiring verification and assessment by competent organs.

Arlinda’s shocking warning three days before the assassination

Arlinda Zekiaj was killed on October 25th, 2026, in the village of Vitomirica in Pec.

Her brother – in – law murder was suspected of being arrested in Decani on October 27, after police investigation.

The case has caused great anger, especially after publishing warnings that the victim had made before he was killed.

On October 22nd, just three days before the assassination, Arlinda had addressed justice institutions, expressing concern for her security.

I wish the day would not come when you and responsible institutions would be forced to render an account only after my life is taken away.It was her warning.

Those words are widely distributed on social networks, prompting questions about the actions that institutions took following its defence requirements.

Arlinda was not wrong. State abandoned her.

One of the messages that has dominated civic reactions after the murder is:

Arlinda was not wrong. COUNTRY BRECTIS.

This message reflects the anger of citizens who seek answers why a woman who had warned about her life could not be protected.

Protest organisers have announced that politicians are not welcome at the gathering, while protests have been warned during the following days.

Today’s protest is expected to focus on the request for justice for Arlinda, institutional accountability and concrete measures for protecting women from violence.
