Ukrainian President Voldymyr Zelensky said a major agreement voiced earlier this week by US President Donald Trump to end the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war could be dangerous.
For us, it is not simple and it may be dangerous, Zelensky said in an interview with CNN, a passage of which was published Friday, in response to a question of what he knows about the framework of an agreement expressed by his American counterpart.
On Thursday, Trump confirmed to reporters at the Oval Office that he had met with Russian presidential envoy Kiril Dmitriev, who had participated in a White House event organised by the first US lady, Melanie Trump, earlier that day.

In his interview Friday, Zelensky said there are many proposals and talks, some of which he described as useful and very important, declaring his support for a ceasefire in Ukraine followed by the deespass.

Zelenskyy argued that when Russia does not want to talk about a solution, it seeks to start dialogue with discussions on a new security architecture in Europe, which he believes is dangerous for all in Europe, but more for the EU than for Ukraine.
We don’t wanna have Yalta, Yalta 2. We’re not ready for such forms. We do not want to separate from Russia, he added, referring to the 1945 conference of the same name, during which Allied powers discussed post-World War II in Europe.
The Ukrainian president also said sovereignty and territorial integrity are essential for every independent country, stressing that, at least, his neighbours should respect it for it to become a free and democratic country.
