Ukraine’s president, Voldymyr Zelensky, has declared he is ready to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Turkey, stressing that a meeting among leaders is needed to end the war.
In an interview for CNN Türk, quoted by the Ukrinform agency, Zelensky said Ukraine supports Turkey as the country for the development of this meeting, praising also the role of President Recep Tayip Erdogan.

Yeah, we’re ready. We are ready for this meeting in Turkey, he said.
Zelensky stressed that, despite talks conducted by technical teams and delegations, so far has failed to end the war. According to him, key issues should be discussed directly by leaders.
He said that security guarantees for Ukraine, reconstruction of the country and territorial issues should be addressed at such a meeting.
However, the Ukrainian president reiterated that his country would not give up occupied territories and would not recognise Crime or other parts occupied as Russian territory.
