Real Madrid’s defender, Eder Militao, has become the victim of a robbery in his luxurious villa in Madrid’s La Morale district, while following the bench of confronting Barcelona under El Classico.
According to reports by Spanish medium El Mundo, at least two people have broken into the home of Brazilian football player during the first part of the match, taking along luxury items and jewelry worth 350,000 euros.
The event is even more disturbing because the family members of Militao were at the time of the robbery in the villa. They were following the fight downstairs, while thieves used this moment to search the rooms upstairs without anyone noticing.
Rolex, Richard Mille and luxury jewelry among stolen items
Robbers have received some of the most expensive accesses of footballer and his family. Among the stolen items are two luxury hours: a Rolex worth about 53 thousand euros and a Richard Mille, costing approximately 170 thousand euros.
The list of missing items includes three hand bags of Chanel brands, worth about 15 thousand euros, and Cartier jewelry, including rings and bracelets valued at about 25 thousand euros.
In addition, thieves have received other jewelry, fashion accessors, and suitcases of luxury brands. In total, the damage caused is estimated to be over 350,000 euros.
The robbery was discovered after signs of space control were observed in one of the rooms. In the footballer’s bedroom, the cabinets were open and things were left scattered.
Police are testing security cameras
Following the discovery, police and security personnel of the luxury residential complex have arrived at the scene. Investigators have started work on identifying authors, while one of the main steps of the investigation is to analyze images by security cameras.
Millitao had followed El Classico from the bench, and only after returning home has he faced unpleasant news. This is not the first case when real Madrid football players or other Spanish football stars become the target of looting in their luxurious dwellings.
Militao has suffered career injuries
Edder Militao joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2019, when the Madrillan club transferred him from Porto for 50m euros. So far, the Brazilian defender has recorded 195 presentations and 14 goals with the fannel of Loos Blancos.
However, his career has in some cases been hampered by serious injuries that have kept him for long periods outside the field. This season he only recorded one presentation.
