Liverpool has recorded three successive home victories, so Willarreal, Brighton and Chelsea, in three different races. The latest victory came Wednesday, when the team defeated Chelsea after the penalty execution of the English League Cup after the fair-time match ended evenly.

These results have helped restore the positive atmosphere among fans, following a disappointing past season, when Liverpool failed to defend the champion’s title.

It’s a pleasure to see fans enjoying what they’re seeing on the field. It feels their energy, and that’s very good. I’ve felt that energy for a long time, and when you’re missing a little, it’s really good to return it. The results are extremely helpful, and we understand that, Van Dijk said.

The Dutch defender has stressed that the team intends to play with the same intensity during all matches, both at home and on the journey.

We want to show this commitment during all ninety minutes, every match, both at home and on the journey. It’s not the easiest thing to do, but we’re trying. Such fights help us. We’re working a lot behind the scenes and we hope that our efforts will be rewarded, he has declared.

Van Dijk has also expressed satisfaction with the performance against Chelsea in a match where Coach Andon Iraola made seven changes in formation, activating four football players under the age of twenty-two.

I don’t think we allowed our opponent many cases during the match. There were several long – distance shocks, but we generally played well and showed much energy. At some point, we might have done better, but I’m happy with the evening and the fact that we qualified away is over with Van Dyke.

Liverpool will now face Arsenal on Sunday in England, at an important game of Premier League, which will be another test for the team and its final form.
