A joint action between the Kosovo Special Prosecution and Swedish authorities has marked a key achievement in the fight against narcotics and money laundering. Following the arrest of the suspect with the initials A.G. In December 2025, investigations resulted in the seizure of his assets seized by criminal activities.

The State Chief Prosecutor’s Office announced that the case has already received a judicial epilogue in Sweden, marking the first case in history where the Swedish state manages to sequentise wealth outside its territorial borders.

The case concerns the arrest that took place December 2025, where, according to the Swedish Economic Crimes Authority ( SECA, a person was detained under an investigation into narcotics trafficking and heavy money laundering, where real estate, cash and a vehicle in Kosovo were said to have been seized.

According to the communiqué of this Authority, published on December 22, 2025, the suspect was arrested in Sweden’s Goteborgu region.

The suspect was detained under suspicion of particularly serious acts of narcotics trafficking and heavy money laundering.
