Analyst Lirim Mehmetaj has stated in Debat Plus that Interior Affairs Minister Jalal Svecla should be dismissed if he does not resign on his own.

Commenting on the case of the assassination of Arlinda Zekiaj and institutional responsibility, Mehmetaj has said he is a minister for six years and that responsibilities for the situation in the system cannot be avoided.

According to him, in the case of Arlinda Zekij there is no need for further investigations, but for concrete decisions and responsibility from institutions.

Mehmetaj has criticised Government for its lack of actions, saying the Arlinda case for it is a disaster that only exposes Government.

There are no unknowns in the situation. There’s a minister who’s going to have to atribe the system now, that six years are being questioned. Six years he’s a minister. There’s a minister who, with all the parameters, has to disappear if there’s no will to resign. I didn’t want to resign, normally, I knew it didn’t even get fired, that it was my own purpose. This system or purpose itself. To them, the case for the government, the Arlinda Zekiaj case is a disaster, only in their exposure, by no means, he stated.

He has added that if institutions do not make decisions, then citizens remain to have through voting in elections determine the political fate of those who, according to him, have left the police in this situation.
