The number of victims from Wednesday’s accident, with high-speed trains in Spain, has gone to 69, while rescue teams have continued their search Thursday in broken cars.
This is the second fatal high-speed train accident in Spain this year.

Hopes of finding other survivors are fading as emergency teams are trying to remove victims from the ruins.
After working all night, cranes have begun to remove portions of train remains. During the rescue operation, emergency workers have been seen extracting from one of the trains a blanketed body in the province of Toledo, central Spain.
Regional leader Emiliano García-Page has confirmed that the death toll has reached 69, while human remains have been found during night operations.
He has made it known that rescue teams are already focusing on crane operations, especially in a car that is still upside down.
We don’t believe there may be any more casualties under that car, but that’s what I’m saying carefully, García-Page has declared.
