Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has hosted a meeting of NATO’s Supreme Allied Forces Commander in Europe and the commander of the United States European Command, General Alexus Grinkewich.
KFOR Commander General Roberto Vergori also attended the meeting, as were loaded with work at the United States Embassy in Kosovo, Annu Prattipati.
Kurti has stressed that Kosovo, for four years in a row, has spent over 2 percent of Bruto Local Protection Product underlining investments in the growth capacity of the Kosovo Security Force ( KSF).
He has announced that 515 new soldiers have been sworn in last week, while 209 recruits have launched basic training this week. According to Kurti, Kosovo is continuing with training and acquisitions, aimed at boosting military professionalism and strengthening the KSF’s defence capacities.
The prime minister has declared that the country is ahead of the envisioned deadlines in the ten-year KSF development plan and that it intends to meet it before 2028.
Kurti has also expressed Kosovo’s gratitude for NATO’s role in freeing the country, as well as for KFOR’s contribution to maintaining lasting peace and long-term stability in Kosovo and the region. /Telegraphy.
