The Kosovo government has presented the draft budget for 2027 on Monday, which amounts to 4.27 billion euros.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti said next year’s draft budget is 200m euros higher than the revised budget for 2026 and 300m euros higher than this year’s initial budget.

According to Kurti, out of the projected total, 908m euros will be earmarked as direct financing for Kosovo municipalities.
During the presentation, Kurti estimated that continued economic growth has affected the expansion of the budget and the sustainability of public finances.
He announced that Kosovo’s economy has scored 5.4 per cent growth in the first quarter and 4.1 per cent in the second quarter of this year.
This puts us in the fastest growing countries in the region and wider. This also means continued budget growth and stability of public finances, Kurti said.
The prime minister also said that in the draft budget for 2027, the Kosovo Tax Administration ( ATK) is designed to collect revenues worth as much as 60 per cent of those who will gather Kosovo Customs.
Kurti named the budget as a record for both municipalities, stressing that increasing funding for local government results in continued growth of government grants.
After adopting Government, the 2027 budget bill should be processed for the Kosovo Assembly’s review and vote. /Telegraphy/
