In Serbia’s Subotic, students assisted by mountaineers and local citizens removed three large banners carrying the slogan Serbia wins.
The banners were removed from the building of former Foreign Minister Smolenski in the Prozivka neighbourhood, a declared protected cultural monument, broadcast Telegraphy.

The popular climber from Subotica, Iso Planric, participated in the action, while citizens present expressed their support through the breezes and the lighting of flares, passing drivers sounded their horns as a sign of approval.
The banners were located in the building in late June, during the election campaign, prompting sharp criticism from experts and opposition.
At the time, historian Nenad Lajbenschperger of the Republican Institute for Protection of Monuments of Culture warned that using a cultural monument to display political messages is not only unacceptable but also illegal. /Telegraphy/
