The threat that Kosovo would know what happened to you was one of the warnings Arlinda Zekiaj had announced to the family long before the murder. Family lawyer Besnik R. B ERISHA found out that on November 12, 2025, she had sent a message to her brother, informing him of the threatening words her husband had reported on.
During his statement, Berisha stressed that the murder of Arlinda cannot only be seen as an act committed on the night she was killed, as, according to him, the danger was much earlier warned, and concrete evidence exists.

Arlinda physically moved from this life to the most vulnerable way a wicked man took his life, but I have to underline a fact that Arlinda’s life was not taken just that night, as action took place that night, but as a warning, at least we have evidence vulnerable to warning long before your days were numbered. Berisha disclosed that the family does not seek revenge justice, but responsibility and justice for Arlinda, as well as for other women who face violence and expect protection from institutions.
We are interested in justice, not revenge justice, for a person who lost his life in the most likely way, but also for women waiting for this justice and for those victims who don’t know written and don’t know anyone in the Prosecutor’s Police, he said.
