McLaren warns the new 809 horsepower superverat called McL 820

McLaren has confirmed the name of the next superveture, which is expected to replace the 750S model. It will be named McL 820 and aims to develop 820 horsepower according to the metric standard, or 809 horsepower according to the British standard.

The announcement was accompanied by the image of a kiwi bird, which serves as part of the promotional campaign for the name of the new model. However, the car will not have the shape of a bird, but will be a new superveture of the British manufacturer, Telegrafi broadcast.

According to McLaren, the new appointment marks an upcoming chapter in the company’s development and aims to create a clearer and unified system for naming its cars, both in the auto division and in the race division.

McL 820 comes after the surprise presentation of the McL 6GT model in Pebble Beach, which also drew attention to the manual transmission. Meanwhile, the company has recently presented even a re-enlisted logo, inspired by the service station that was once owned by founder Bruce McLaren.

British producer has also announced investments of about 500 million pounds in the United Kingdom, with the aim of expanding production and engineering capacities, as well as creating at least 1,000 new jobs.

This investment will enable the company to develop not only the descendant of the 750S model but also a hybrid SUV, which aims to compete with models like Lamborghini Urus and Aston Martin DBX. The new SUV will not be positioned in the same segment with more exclusive models like Ferrari Purosangue.

McLaren is expected to reveal more details for McL 820 over the next year. /Telegraphy/
