Kosovo National Institute of Public Health ( IK The KPS has indicated that by November 6th 2026, a total of 31 thousand and 400 doses of the vaccine against seasonal flu have been administered in the country.
According to the ICHPK, this number reflects the commitment of health institutions and the awareness of citizens of the importance of vaccine in protecting individual and collective health.

The institute has called on citizens to be vaccinated over time, especially those who are part of the highest risk groups for flu complications.
The vaccine is specifically recommended for people over 65, those with chronic illnesses, pregnant women, children, weakened immunity, health workers, and people most exposed to respiratory infections because of profession or other circumstances.
IK The KPS stresses that vaccine is the most important precautionary measure for reducing the risk of seasonal flu and its complications, while helping to reduce the spread of infection in the community.
Since flu activity is expected to increase over the coming months, long-term vaccine is considered particularly important. According to the institute, protection from the vaccine takes place about two weeks after its administration.
Citizens can be vaccinated into primary health care institutions, in the QKMF, QMF and AMF, respectively, in the respective municipalities.
