The Ministry of Education and Science has decided to abolish the decision of the Applied Science University Steering Council in Ferizaj ( U n The ShAF, through which Agron Bajraktari had been elected rector of this university.
This decision has been made in order to establish legitimacy at the university, as the Steering Council, in spite of the ministry’s continued demands, has refused for months to review the opinion of the MAS Legal Office and exercise its responsibilities in addressing the agreed violations.

Legal opinion has listed two violations in the sector’s election procedure: disrespecting the legal obligation requiring interviewing candidates from all members of the Steering Council, as well as selecting the sector for a third term, contrary to legal provisions in force.
Today, the ministry has asked the Steering Council to, within three days, appoint a reactor task adviser, with the consensus of all Council members, and immediately start preparations for announcing the new competition for the reactor. Consensus for the appointment of a task leader would be an important step towards restoring co-operation and regular institutional functioning.
MAS calls on all members of the Steering Council, academic and administrative staff of U The US to contribute to overcoming the created situation, through co-operation and the establishment of university interest on personal interests.
The ministry remains committed to ensuring legitimacy, respect for university autonomy and responsible functioning of public institutions of higher education. MAS will continue to support U n The USAF in establishing institutional stability and fulfilling its academic mission, the UN reports.
