Kosovo Parliament Speaker Albulen Haxhiu, on the RTK Prime show, has spoken of Kosovo’s Special Appeal Strategy, stressing that Kosovo should be a supporter of justice and not its stumbling block.

Haxhiu said the best way to deal with what he described as injustice is to draft a strategy that will enable defence teams to have the necessary support.

She stressed that the processing group, led by Glauk Konjufca, has already held the first meetings, but that the process is confidential.

So that, without preliminary consultations, a law, so sensitive, has been to me unreasonable. We have said the best way to deal with this injustice is the strategy. I keep thinking the same way, I have welcomed the strategy decision, which is led by Glauk Konjufca. So, this working group, with representatives of institutions and parliamentary groups, I am very convinced that it will manage to draft a strategy that will enable us to be supportive, not hindering justice, but only assist defence teams in any request or need they have. Meetings of this working group have already been held. I cannot speak any more because this process is closed and confidential. I can only stress that the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo will address whatever demands this processing group has, Haxhiu said.

In the interview, Haxhiu will also talk about current political and institutional developments in the country and the region, including the murder of Arlinda Zekaj, implementation of the Bureau for Confiscating Unjustified Riches, protests in Albania and political developments in Serbia.
