Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has received a letter of congratulations from UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham.
In his letter, Burnham has emphasised the long-standing partnership between the two countries, reaffirming British support for Kosovo as a sovereign, independent and multiethnic state.
We are proud to have been among the first countries to recognise Kosovo’s independence. We remain steadfast in Kosovo’s continued development as a sovereign, independent and multiethnic state, the letter said.
Burnham has also praised co-operation in promoting stability and security in Europe, as well as stressing the importance of international justice, accountability and rule of law.
He has expressed willingness to deepen co-operation with Kosovo in areas of common interest, including economic development and combating serious organised crime.
