The Commission for the Rights and Interests of Communities and Kthim has all voted in approval of the Bill for the State Bureau for Verification and Confiscating of Unjustified Riches, arguing that it does not violate the rights and interests of communities in Kosovo.
However, Alliance MP Teuta Haxhiu has voiced criticism of the bill, naming it unconstitutional and claiming the government has had no interest in such a law being implemented.

Commission Deputy Chairman Fahush Rexhepi has said the bill contains a total of 88 articles and 12 amendments of the responsible reporting Commission.
Determining the competencies of the State Bureau for Verification of Unjustified Property, as well as specifying the procedure for verifying and confiscating unwarranted property, this bill has a total of 88 articles and 12 amendments of the Reporting Accountable Commission — based on preliminary watch papers of this bill — we can ascertain that this bill does not in any way violate the rights and interests of communities in Kosovo, he said.
Meanwhile, Alliance MP Teuta Haxhiu has said that, regardless of whether she will vote on the bill whenever he comes to the Assembly, according to her, the government has had no will for it to be implemented.
There’s a law that’s come to the Assembly several times, no matter how far we’re not a functioning commission, the commission we’ve been looking at, that’s, or we’re looking at the amendments in question. Me from the beginning, since I first saw such a law come, I really thought it was serious, or we’re thinking seriously, someone in this country. But now, since I’m in this commission for the first time, I’m telling you that the government in question is not interested in passing such a law, and it’s just as if it’s an opinion, I really wish such a law was a law that applies, but in the conversation with professional people, well-known lawyers, they’ve definitely told me that this law is unconstitutional, and they don’t want power, the government didn’t want us to be okay, just not to enter into force it, because we’re going to vote with normal people, as often as we’re concerned about the market. Normal fears that he has power, but once again I’m saying, this law is unconstitutional, and quite deliberately, the government is overly unconstitutional, just don’t follow such a law. Therefore, as such, unfortunately, I’m still saying, it’s unconstitutional, but we’re still going to vote, vote it every time, she said.
Following Haxhi’s statements, Rexhepi has said he cannot confirm the claim that the bill conflicts with the Kosovo Constitution, adding that he would not support such a law if he is convinced it is unconstitutional.
So, about what the MP said. Haxhiu, that this law, or bill, initially conflicts with the Constitution of Kosovo, cannot even prove it. But with my own consciousness, I would never have upheld a law here that conflicts with the Constitution of Kosovo. But now, I don’t know how much I can to argue that it does not conflict with the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, he said. /EO
